ETH 29: CD Proposals and Eden Korea
Jesse and Chris introduce the new CD proposals, Sangyong talks Eden Korea, and dialectic ensues as we work together to help communities cooperate!
Updates from Eden Korea
Eden Korea is preparing to launch and had conducted internal tests with at least eight community members, as you can see here. You can learn many exciting details in their grant proposals, Notion website, and an episode of Eden Town Hall with one of their founders.
Jesse Jaffe explains new proposals by Chief Delegates. Provides details about ideas to use the treasury to fund OpEx account, fund three Edens, and make polls to see what Eden members want
Sangyong introduces himself and his work with Eden Korea
Chris Barnes speaks about Chief Delegates proposals. requests thoughts about supporting other communities: Korean, Chinese and Spanish. Went into monetary details, plans of proposal
CAC questions what regulations are in China, as long as transparency funding is good, but be careful not to run treasury dry
Michael expresses concern about plan details, funding plans, and getting funding in the future
Chris responds to Michael, explains how when Eden started, additional Eden’s were planned, this was Dan Larimer's initial plan, went into details
Michael goes into additional questioning on where funding may come from, certainty of funding in future
Chris responds to Michael, states ENF suggesting Eden support, wants to have Eden be global
Jesse jumps in and speaks about Yves responds that he believes proposal has questionable intent. Referencing conversation about wide spread support of funding languages.

Mo is thankful for Eden town hall and shares preliminary impression of proposal: supportive of language Eden’s but feel it’s a bit rushed. Needs more details on process, needs more information on how it will develop. Suggest chief delegates from all languages get together , possibly head chief delegate
Dan agrees with much of Mo comments, communication with other communities is very helpful, better tooling, polling. Expresses support of new Eden communities
Dan expresses concern about the current proposals. Has many questions about the new proposed bylaws. Concerned about potential legal implications. Went into details on current process of chief delegates.
Chris responds to Dan, clarifies details on proposed changes, more Eden’s, not necessarily same purpose, use case of multiple Eden’s. Responds to Patrick on Block 1 support.
Dan comments on additional Eden’s, feels Eden needs to be protected, proposal may put Eden at risk. Additional Eden may be attractive idea

Mo thanked Sangyong for time and understanding. Direction and purpose of Eden, need to understand other Eden’s goals before moving forward. Supports but needs to understand other communities directions. Need to have our structure down , making it easier for other Eden’s to follow
